All Members of the department pledge to the residents and visitors of Lafourche Parish Fire Protection District 3 (“LPFD3”) that we will provide dependable and professional service in a responsive fashion, while showing care and compassion for those in need. We will do our best to rapidly and professionally mitigate all fire, rescue, medical care and hazardous material incidents and to protect lives, property and the environment through meticulous training, disaster preparedness, fire prevention and community education programs.



LPFD3 is responsible for a unique area located in Southeast Louisiana surrounded and divided by water. Our coverage area begins approximately two miles north of the Intracoastal Waterway in Larose all the way south to the Jefferson Parish boundary line near Grand Isle, while we also cover Highway 24 west to the Terrebonne Parish boundary line. LPFD3 is a combination fire department, composed of five operational divisions. Our five divisions consist of Administration, Maintenance, Fire Prevention, Communications, and Suppression utilizing both career and volunteer firefighters.
