All Members of the department pledge to the residents and visitors of Lafourche Parish Fire Protection District 3 (“LPFD3”) that we will provide dependable and professional service in a responsive fashion, while showing care and compassion for those in need. We will do our best to rapidly and professionally mitigate all fire, rescue, medical care and hazardous material incidents and to protect lives, property and the environment through meticulous training, disaster preparedness, fire prevention and community education programs.
LPFD3 is a unique area located in Southeast Louisiana surrounded by water includes the Gulf of Mexico. Special Services are needed, due to the Port Fourchon’s Industrial Area and the Elevated Expressway in Leeville. We are a combination fire department, composed of volunteers and career employees.
Our coverage area is approximately 200 square miles beginning 2 miles north of the Intercoastal Waterway south to the Jefferson Parish line near Grand Isle, also covering Highway LA 24 to the Terrebonne Parish line of Bourg.
Our Firefighters and Dispatchers are Trained and Certified Nationally, Statewide and Locally, to Provide the Best Quality Service to our Community.
